I Dare You To Not Think About This Video the Next Time You Order an Omelet

IT IS NEVER EASY TO LEARN THE REALITY OF HOW OUR FOOD IS ACTUALLY MADE.

WE USUALLY JUST SEE THE ANIMAL PRODUCT NICELY PACKAGED IN OUR LOCAL GROCERY STORE OR BEAUTIFULLY PLATED BY A CHEF AT A RESTAURANT. HOWEVER, I TRULY BELIEVE THAT IT IS OUR DUTY TO BECOME EDUCATED ABOUT WHERE OUR FOOD COMES FROM. AFTER ALL, WE ARE WHAT WE EAT.
SOOYEON JANG, THE CREATOR OF THE VIDEO DRAW MY LIFE: A CHICKEN IN TODAY’S WORLD TEACHES HER VIEWERS ABOUT THE REALITY OF HOW EGGS GO FROM BEING PRODUCED ON A FARM TO ARRIVING ON YOUR BREAKFAST PLATE, THROUGH A SERIES OF CREATIVE DRAWINGS. LONG STORY SHORT, I CAN GUARANTEE YOU THAT THE PROCESS IS NOT EXACTLY HOW YOU IMAGED IT TO BE. AT LEAST IT WASN’T AT ALL FOR ME.

While many people think that animal cruelty is a thing of the past this couldn’t be more false. Since animals do not have a voice it is essential that we become educated on the way that they are being treated so we can speak up for them if need be.

Sharing this video is not about trying to convince other individuals to change their values about animal products. It is rather about learning the true process of how an egg is able to arrive on your kitchen table and then making an informed decision about whether you should continue to eat them or not, based on fact.

In just five minutes, Jang’s powerful video truly struck a chord with me and I will never view egg production business the same again.
